Understanding your first analysis results

After uploading and processing, FlopHero presents your results across multiple sections. Understanding these initial metrics helps you identify immediate areas for improvement.

Sessions overview

Your first stop after upload is the Sessions section, which provides high-level performance metrics:

Date and Duration: Shows when you played and for how long, helping you identify optimal playing times and session length patterns.

Hands and Analysis: Displays total hands played versus hands analyzed by HERO.Precision®. Not all hands may be analyzed due to incomplete action sequences or technical limitations.

Won vs Won EV: Your actual results compared to expected value based on your decisions. Large discrepancies indicate either significant variance or decision quality issues.

GTO ΔEV: The most important metric for improvement. This shows how much expected value you lost due to suboptimal decisions. Negative numbers indicate areas for study.

Common upload issues

While FlopHero handles most files smoothly, you may occasionally encounter issues. Here are the most common problems and their solutions.

File format errors

Problem: “Unsupported file format”
Solution: Ensure your files are .txt or .zip format. Some poker sites save in proprietary formats that need conversion.

Problem: Corrupted or incomplete files
Solution: Re-download hand histories from your poker site. Ensure the session completed properly before saving.

Upload timeouts

Problem: Large files failing to upload

Solution: Break large sessions into smaller chunks or use ZIP compression to reduce file size.

Problem: Slow internet connection causing timeouts

Solution: Upload during off-peak hours or consider upgrading your internet connection for better performance.

Processing delays

Problem: Analysis taking longer than expected

Solution: Complex sessions with many players or unusual situations require more processing time. Check back in a few minutes.

Problem: Stuck processing status

Solution: Refresh the page and check if analysis completed. Contact support if the issue persists.

Site compatibility

Problem: Hand histories from unsupported sites

Solution: Check FlopHero’s supported sites list. Consider switching to a supported platform for better analysis capabilities.

Problem: Unusual hand history format

Solution: Some sites use non-standard formats. Contact FlopHero support for assistance with specific compatibility issues.

Getting help

If you encounter persistent upload issues:

  1. Check file format and size requirements
  2. Try a different upload method (drag-drop vs file browser)
  3. Test with a smaller file to isolate the problem
  4. Contact FlopHero support with specific error messages and file details
