Why We Don't Analyze Some Hands

Not every hand you upload to FlopHero receives a GTO analysis. Some hands are filtered out because they don’t offer meaningful learning value or can’t be solved with reliable accuracy. Understanding which hands are excluded helps you focus on the ones that truly matter for improving your play.

Hands Without Strategic Value

Certain hands end before any real decision occurs. If you fold unopened from early position, or everyone folds to you in the big blind, there’s no strategic choice to evaluate.

These automatic situations don’t add insight to your performance metrics. Including them would distort your overall data. FlopHero prioritizes hands where you faced genuine strategic decisions.

Hands that end without a real decision, like folds before action, are excluded from GTO analysis.

Limped Pots and Solver Complexity

Limped pots are difficult for GTO solvers to handle accurately. Most PLO solver databases focus on raised pots because that’s where the richest decision trees occur.

When multiple players limp, the number of possible outcomes increases exponentially. Current solvers work well for heads-up and 3-way raised pots, but 4- or 5-way limped pots are computationally impractical for real-time analysis.

To maintain accuracy, FlopHero excludes these hands instead of producing unreliable results.
If you frequently play limped pots, focus your study on raised pots where accurate GTO models exist.

Incomplete Hand Histories

A hand can’t be analyzed if the hand history is missing key details such as a street’s action or the final board. FlopHero needs a complete decision tree to process each hand.

Missing data often comes from:

• Poker client glitches
• Incomplete exports
• Incorrect save settings

If many hands are being skipped, check your poker software settings to ensure full hand histories are being saved.

Solver Coverage and Missing Scenarios

Even with extensive HERO.Precision® coverage, some hands fall outside current solver parameters. This may happen with:

• Unusual stack depths
• Rare preflop lines
• Uncommon board textures

FlopHero simulations cover common cases such as:

• Stack depths between 40–200bb
• Standard open, 3-bet, and 4-bet sequences
• Heads-up and 3-way postflop play

If a hand doesn’t fit these criteria, FlopHero marks it as Not Analyzed to preserve data accuracy.

Maximizing Your Analyzed Hands

To increase the number of analyzed hands:

• Open-raise instead of limping
• Play within standard stack depths
• Focus on common raised pot structures

These practices not only improve solver compatibility but also strengthen your overall strategy.

In your Session Dashboard, the Analysis column shows how many hands received GTO evaluation versus total uploaded hands.
