Understanding Your First Analysis
Understanding Your First Analysis
After uploading your first session to FlopHero, you’ll see a dashboard full of data. This guide breaks down the key metrics so you can understand what the results mean and focus on fixing real leaks instead of guessing.

Example of FlopHero's session analysis showing GTO EV deviations, winrate graph, and hand breakdown.
What You’re Looking At
The Session Overview gives you a snapshot of your overall performance. You’ll see:
- A summary of your sessions
- Key stats like EV, winnings, and GTO deviations
- A full list of hands from your upload
This is where improvement starts. Scan for trends, find recurring mistakes, and dive into the hands that matter most.
Reading Key Metrics

Example of hands with the largest GTO EV losses, highlighting key spots to review first.
Here are the stats that deserve your attention:
- GTO ΔEV - The difference in expected value between your action and the optimal GTO action. The higher the number, the bigger the leak. It’s a direct measure of how much EV you left on the table.
- Hands Analyzed - The number of hands FlopHero processed from your session. It tells you how complete the analysis is.
- Track your GTO ΔEV across multiple sessions to see if you’re actually improving. A consistent drop means your play is becoming closer to GTO.
Finding Your Biggest Mistakes
The hands table is your shortcut to real progress. Sort by GTO ΔEV to instantly find the spots where you lost the most value.
These are your priority hands. Fix the big leaks first - that’s where the biggest gains come from.
You can use filters to isolate positions, game types, or specific spots. Once you’ve corrected the major issues, move down to the smaller deviations.
