Database Management

Your hand database grows with every session you upload. Managing it well keeps your workspace organized and performance data accurate. FlopHero provides tools to review, sort, and delete hands or full sessions easily. Understanding how your files are stored helps you maintain a clean database and locate specific sessions fast.

Sessions Overview

The Sessions section in your account lists every uploaded session with key details:

• Date
• Duration
• Number of hands
• Analysis status

Files are sorted by upload date, with the newest first. You can also sort by hand count or duration to locate sessions quickly.

Viewing Detailed Session Information

The Database tab provides an in-depth view of each session, including:

• Poker site
• Hand count
• Breakdown of play quality: Optimal, Strong, Weak, and Blunder plays

This overview helps you spot patterns, track improvement, and identify areas that need work across multiple sessions.

Deleting Entire Files

To remove a complete session, use Delete File instead of deleting hands individually.
This is useful for:

• Duplicate uploads
• Incorrect imports
• Sessions you no longer want in your stats

Deleting a file permanently removes all its hands and associated analysis from your account. Your performance metrics update automatically.

What Happens When You Delete Hands or Files

When a hand or session is deleted, FlopHero removes:

• Hand history data
• GTO analysis results
• Impact on global stats
• Linked notes and bookmarks

Large deletions can slightly shift your overall performance statistics.

Bulk Deletion of Files

To delete multiple sessions, enable Bulk Select, mark the files you want to remove, and click Bulk Delete.
This feature is ideal for cleaning old uploads or removing hands from a specific period.

File Storage and Backup

All hand histories are stored securely on FlopHero servers with encryption. Files remain available while your account is active.

If you cancel your subscription, you’ll have a short grace period to download your data before it’s removed.
You can download your entire archive anytime from Account Settings to keep a full offline backup.

Best Practices for Database Management

• Delete duplicates early. Re-uploaded sessions can distort statistics.
• Review files regularly. Keep only the sessions you want analyzed.
• Backup frequently. Download your archive to prevent data loss or ensure portability across tools.
